Located on our Memorial campus, DePelchin’s Donation Station serves as a resource hub for the children and families we serve. Stocked with items like clothes, diapers, toys, and much more, volunteers are needed to sort and organize donations and assemble baskets and packages for families. Opportunities are available for individuals and groups of up to 20 on an as-needed basis.
Volunteers can brighten the day of children and young adults in our residential programs by playing games, leading art projects, or planning other fun activities. Recurring opportunities require an application, background check, and minimum of 6-month commitment.
Great for corporate or community groups, our beautification projects help DePelchin maintain a welcoming and positive environment for our children, families, and other visitors. Volunteers work on a variety of hands-on projects including landscaping, gardening, painting, furniture restoration, and more. These projects are based on the needs identified at DePelchin’s Memorial, La Porte, and Richmond campus’. All costs associated with these projects must be covered by the volunteer group.
Throughout the year, DePelchin has special projects that require the help of volunteers including filling backpacks with school supplies, sorting through holiday gifts, helping with adminstrative projects, and much more. These projects do not require long-term volunteer commitments.
DePelchin Children’s Center supports and sustains children and the families who care for them. We provide comprehensive services focused on ensuring all children are part of safe, caring homes.
