Fox Finding Families

Interested in learning more about a child(ren) featured on one our segments?

A reported standing with a teenage boy

We have received an outpouring of interest from families wanting to learn more about the children featured on our Fox26 segments, and we appreciate you interest. While we know the children featured in the news segment have touched your heart, there are many children in need of safe and loving homes, waiting for a family to call their own. Whether this is your first time thinking about adoption, or you are already a licensed home, our goal is to help you progress to the next step to becoming a family through adoption.

New to Adoption?

If you are new to this process and do not yet have an approved home study, the next step is to begin the journey to become a licensed foster or adoptive home. It typically takes 3-6 months to become licensed, and requires an application, background checks, training, and a home study to be completed. You can contact your local child welfare services, or a child placing agency to begin this process. If you would like to get started with DePelchin Children’s Center, click here to find out about upcoming orientation opportunities.

Already Licensed?

For families who are already licensed and approved for foster care or adoption, and specifically interested in the children featured on the recent news segment, please email FindingFamilies@depelchin.org with the contact information of the adoption representative with your agency. We will be happy to work with you, and your adoption team, toward next steps to be considered for the child(ren)!

We thank you for your interest, and investment in to our mission to strengthen the lives of children!
