    3. Psychotropic Medication for Children in Texas Foster Care: A Training for Caregivers
      • Make sure your account/profile has the correct information. You must select ‘Yes’ that you administer medication to be allowed access to the training. Log out and log back in for the changes to take effect. Please click here for more detailed instructions.

If you have any problems you will need to contact the DFPS Help Desk at 877-642-4777, Press *, and then Option 6/Other to reach a Help Desk Representative. If you must contact the help desk – Email the Ticket # to the Training Team. Your training will not be considered out of compliance while they try to figure out the issue.

Things to keep in mind when choosing a company to complete your training:

  • CPR & 1st Aid training is due every two years.
  • Per Minimum Standards, we can accept instructor-led blended/hybrid learning.

The training curriculum must be Pediatric CPR and must include Pediatric First Aid training.

    • This movie is about private adoptions in Utah and discusses raising black children by white parents. Although this may not apply directly to you, look beyond the specifics and focus on the importance of the struggles in transracial adoptions and helping your children find their own cultural identities.
    • We have generously been given permission by the filmmaker to share this film with our parents to help them understand the transracial care of children. Please do not share this private video or password with others.
