DePelchin’s prevention and early intervention services work to strengthen and support children and families while decreasing the future need for more intensive services. Our programs target children and families at risk of, or currently experiencing, a range of challenging issues, including family conflict, alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse, bullying and school drop out.
DePelchin's prevention and early intervention services are offered throughout the Greater Houston area and include:
DePelchin offers individual and family counseling in addition to parenting support through its Community-based Counseling Program and STAR (Sevices-to-At-Risk-Youth) program. DePelchin also offers Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) services for young children.
DePelchin supports at-risk youths with a range of evidence-based programs available throughout the Greater Houston area. These programs offer counseling, at-risk education, and other services to youths and families living in crisis.
DePelchin offers school-based programs aimed at positive youth development and the prevention of issues such as alcohol, tobacco and drug use, bullying and delinquency. These evidence-based programs are also available throughout the Greater Houston area.
DePelchin offers counseling for parents through its grant-funded prevention programs.
