HOUSTON (AUGUST 13, 2016) – DePelchin Children’s Center hosted its annual back to school field day event for families enrolled in DePelchin’s post-adoption program Saturday, August 13, 2016. The Back to School carnival event provided a chance for families to enjoy an afternoon of field day games and also receive school supplies donated by the community.
Brownstone Dental Group provided fun activities for children such as a moon bounce and pizza along with providing opportunities to learn more about dental care. C3 Cares, a local car club, cheered on the children as the participated in carnival games as well as took pictures with their unique cars.
“We are thankful to members of the community for not only donating large amounts of school supplies but also donating their time to help at our annual field day event,” said Atasha Kelley-Harris, DePelchin Children’s Center Program Manager of Adoption and Post Adoption. “School supplies are a vital part of helping our kids start the school year off right.”
