HOUSTON – Lone Star Sports & Entertainment officials announced today that all tickets for the Sept. 3 matchup between the University of Houston Cougars and University of Oklahoma Sooners at the fourth annual AdvoCare Texas Kickoff in NRG Stadium have been sold.
The two college football powerhouses will kick off at 11 a.m. CT and will be televised nationally on ABC with Dave Pasch, Greg McElroy and Tom Luginbill on the call. The game can also be heard locally on Sports Radio 610 (KILT-AM).
The game between the Cougars and the Sooners will be the third matchup in the all-time series between the schools, with Oklahoma prevailing both times. OU won, 40-14, in the 1981 Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. The Sooners were victorious again in 2004, defeating the Cougars 63-13 in Oklahoma.
