DePelchin Post Adoption Coping With Trauma Reminders Workshop
Coping with Trauma Reminders
This Parent Training is designed to help give parents the tools and support needed to identify emotional and/or past trauma triggers that may impact family relationships. This training will help parents understand that some emotional triggers are caused by past childhood abuse or other dysfunctional relationships. Parents will learn that past hurts may make it more difficult to trust and feel emotionally attached to others. Learning positive parenting techniques will help identify these trauma reminders and learn new strategies that will help regulate and learn healthier coping skills. Presented by Michael Migura from Cenpatico Behavioral and Health Services
