Art Techniques for Play Therapy and Physical Activities for Play Therapy

While the focus of this course is on child centered Play Therapy, there are times when more directive approaches are valuable.  During this class participants will have the opportunity to learn about and practice more directive Play Therapy skills that are helpful in facilitating emotional healing in children.  Both art techniques and physical activities will be included.

At the conclusion of this class participants will be able to demonstrate through participation in small group and large group activities an understanding of:

  1. The need for and appropriateness of more directive Play Therapy interventions
  2. The value of using artwork in facilitating healing through Play Therapy
  3. The value of using physical movement activities to facilitate healing through Play Therapy
  4. New Play Therapy techniques to incorporate into previously learned skills

Professionals can purchase the full course at a discounted rate or purchase individual sessions at full price.  A discount is available for students for individual sessions.  Please email Esteban Mayers at to purchase individual sessions at the discounted $130 rate.
