Byron, Susana 's Bio
Susan Byron is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at DePelchin Children’s Center. Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Byron has more than ten years of experience working with children and families, oftentimes in a school setting. Ms. Byron is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and describes her clinical style as a strengths-based approach, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy techniques to help parents and children to access their strengths and build upon them. A native Texan, Ms. Byron received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston. Ms. Byron received the award for Outstanding Senior Psychology Major at Sam Houston State University and is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
