Mao, Alice R.'s Bio

Dr. Alice R. Mao is the Associate Medical Director of DePelchin Children’s Center and Associate Professor at the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. A Licensed Clinical Psychiatrist with more than 18 years of experience, Dr. Mao specializes in a number of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum disorders.  Dr. Mao is recognized nationally as leading expert in child and adolescent psychiatry, having published multiple articles and chaired institutes at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association National Meetings. Dr. Mao earned her Doctor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine where she also completed her residency in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, serving as chief resident.
