Services to At-risk Youths (STAR)
Families in crisis need immediate help. Crises often involve a breakdown in family relationships and come in various forms: family conflict, a child running away, delinquent youth behavior or problems at school. Through the Services to At-risk Youths Program (STAR), DePelchin provides free counseling and education services to support families living in Harris, Fort Bend or Waller County.
The STAR Program includes:
Short-term counseling offered at our offices
Classes and groups for parents and youths over a range of topics, including positive parenting, anger management, social skills, truancy and delinquency
Child Abuse Prevention Services
Community presentations, fairs and events related to preventing child abuse
A family must live in Harris, Fort Bend or Waller County and have a youth, age 18 or younger. STAR services are of no cost.
