Parent Education
Being a parent can be tough. Sometimes the challenges of raising kids can feel frustrating, even overwhelming. At DePelchin, we understand the struggles parents face and are here to offer support. Through our parent education classes, we help parents build and maintain healthy relationships with their children and work through family challenges such as conflict and divorce. We offer the following parent education classes:
Divorce Classes
DePelchin's divorce classes include a four-hour course and a four-week course aimed at helping parents manage the divorce process and minimize the potentially negative impact on children. We also offer a class for children, ages 6 and up, that helps children process their feelings about divorce and learn important coping strategies.
Parenting Classes
DePelchin also offers an eight-week course on parenting that provides parents with helpful tips and strategies on dealing with common parenting challenges. The course covers a range of parenting topics, including child development, communication, positive discipline and stress management.
DePelchin also offers a free parenting program called Parenting Help that gives parents the tools and support to influence good behavior in their kids and prevent future problems from happening. This program is only available to residents in Galveston County.
