Friday Night Lights Delivers Big Win for DePelchin Children's Center

HOUSTON (November 16, 2013) – DePelchin Children’s Center supporters lit up Reliant Stadium on Friday, Nov. 15, at the sold-out, first-of-its-kind Friday Night Lights event "Teaming up for Children’s Mental Health."  Jeans and cocktail attire mixed well as more than 550 guests joined in on a fun evening of dinner, games and dancing. There was something for everyone, from playing the football-themed games to dancing with the Houston Texans Cheerleaders to enjoying a wine pull, photo booth and big-board auction.  Raffle tickets for the lady's steel and gold Omega Seamaster watch donated by I. W. Marks Jewelers sold quickly.

Event Co-Chairs Abbi and Rob Antablin and Hannah and Cal McNair attributed the night's success to the generous spirit of DePelchin supporters. “Thanks to our host committee and guests tonight, we achieved our goal of raising much-needed funds and awareness for Team DePelchin’s high-quality mental health services, which are available to all children in our community. Your support tonight is going to turn lives around for so many children and families struggling with mental health issues.”

President and CEO Jenifer Jarriel also thanked guests for their generosity and applauded the successful efforts for the first-ever Friday Night Lights event, which raised more than $450,000. She also discussed the impact the Houston-based nonprofit makes as the area’s largest provider of children’s mental health, foster care and adoption services.
