DePelchin Children's Center Receives Community Champion Award
HOUSTON (May 28, 2015) – DePelchin Children’s Center is proud to announce they have been selected to receive the Community Champion Award this year on behalf of the Bay Area Alliance for Youth and Families. DePelchin was selected based on the hard work of staff in the area in supporting the mission and goals of the Bay Area Alliance as well as working to strengthen family relationships in the area.
“I am extremely proud of our staff’s efforts in this community, specifically Joni DeSoto, Neil Treble and Angela Owen,” said Jenifer Jarriel, DePelchin president and CEO. “We work every day to improve the lives of children and I am pleased to see the community acknowledgement of the DePelchin team in the Bay Area.”
DePelchin worked with the Bay Area Alliance on events such as CRAZY Krewe, Plant the Promise, our Bitter Pill to Swallow Conference, Family Game Nights and Medication Take Backs. The team also participated in the Student Adult Leadership Service Alliance.
