DePelchin is concerned with providing quality foster homes to children and adolescents. You do not have to be rich, young or married to be a foster parent. You do have to want to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment for a child.   Benefits of becoming a Foster Parent... Foster Care services include: Financial support Experienced clinicial staff Free specialized training Support Services Who are foster parents? Foster Parents... Genuinely care about the well-being of children Are willing to provide love and care on their behalf Have taken an active role in providing a safe, substitute family for children in need Are individuals and families Are married, single or divorced May own their own home or condo, rent a house or apartment or live in a mobile homes Can be any age over 21, even retired Have incomes in all ranges Recognize the growing need in their community for temporary care of troubled children Are people whose lifestyles and attitudes enable them to accept children into their homes while enriching their own lives through the experience Area Served by Foster Care Services at DePelchin  Foster Care services at DePelchin are for families who live in the Houston and surrounding areas (Region 6).
