Children Waiting for Adoption There are over 1,700 children in the Houston area currently waiting for a loving family to call their own. The Texas Adoption Resource Exchange (TARE) Web site is a place where you can search through and view many of the children waiting to be adopted. It is not an exhaustive list and it is not guaranteed to be current. The child you are viewing may be in the process of being adopted right now. The TARE Web site is maintained by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. However, DePelchin is able to facilitate the adoption of any of these available children.
