The Intersections of Stalking and Intimate Partner Violence

The Intersections of Stalking and Intimate Partner Violence takes an in-depth look at the dynamics of stalking and the ways that our understanding of intimate partner violence can be enhanced by understanding stalking. Topics will include the dynamics of stalking and intimate partner violence, the legal system, responding as an advocate to victims of stalking and partner violence, and referrals to provide to victims and their families.  At the end of the presentation participants will be able to:

·       Understand the dynamics of stalking, including electronic aggression

·       Understand the dynamics of intimate partner violence

·       Understand the intersection/overlap of stalking and intimate partner violence and implications for response/referrals.

·       Understand social and legal remedies and resources for stalking and intimate partner violence.
