Childhood Anxiety & Selective Mutism

With a growing population of individuals identified with anxiety disorders including

Selective Mutism, clinicians are challenged to meet the dynamic needs of these

children.  Participants will learn about common misconceptions and primary characteristics.  The presenter will explore diagnosis, treatment and classroom interventions.  Specific attention will be given to the use of collaboration between caregivers including family, teachers and community supporters.  As time allows, participants will discuss managing challenging transitions, as these are often critical junctures in treatment.
