Play Therapy - Theraplay Techniques and Play Therapy and Working with Grieving Children Through Play Therapy
Theraplay® is a directive form of Play Therapy designed to facilitate secure attachment between parents and their children. An introduction to this form of therapy will be given, along with the opportunity to experience some of these activities with peers.
Children express and process grief in ways that are much different than adults. This portion of the class will enlighten participants to developmentally appropriate grief reactions as well as directive interventions to help them through the grieving process during Play Therapy sessions.
