Internship/Practicum Program
DePelchin offers an Internship/Practicum Program for students who are in Master’s level programs preparing for a career in child welfare/mental health services to children and families.
NOTE: All internship positions have been filled at this time. We will begin screening applicants for Spring 2011 internships in November 2010.
An intern at DePelchin has access to a variety of experienced professionals from a variety of disciplines. There are many opportunities for observation, learning and consultation with other professionals. We also provide access to staff development and seminars/workshops sponsored by our agency free of charge to our interns. We fully promote professional development through weekly clinical supervision.
We accept students from various local universities who are willing to sponsor their graduate students in the fields of counseling, social work, and marriage and family therapy. We expect students to provide at least fifteen hours per week for a minimum of two semesters. We require two evenings as well as a flexible daily schedule for service delivery.
