1.5 million people in the U.S. have some form of autism, making it the second most common developmental disability. Autism affects approximately 1 in 150 children. The onset of autism usually occurs before the age of 3. Early intervention is important and increases the chance for positive outcomes. Additionally, parental support and skill development is central to the success of child who has autism.
DePelchin recognizes that parenting a child with autism can be very difficult. Finding the help you need brings its own set of frustrations due to the limited availability of autism resources. DePelchin Autism Services is here to help.
